About our school

Established in 1884, Koorawatha Public School is a small school situated in the Lachlan Valley in central western N.S.W. The majority of students live, however, within the village with only three families living on farms. The school has no bus service and children are transported by car, ride their bikes or walk to school.

All children benefit from strong community and family support and the spacious, attractive environment. The school provides quality educational programs which cater for the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of each individual student in a stimulating, caring environment.

Challenging and relevant experiences, which cater for different student learning styles, are provided by teachers, support staff, parents and consultants, working together for the educational enrichment of each child. An integral part of our school plan is the focus on sports, cultural visits and excursions. These factors not only work towards overcoming isolation, they also provide valuable learning experiences and link us with the network of surrounding small schools.
